“Honestly, Karen said our job was to enjoy our wedding and let the team take care of everything – and they did exactly that.” Meet Marcie and Greg! Married July 6, 2017
Q. How did the two of you meet?
A. “We met through an online dating site; however, after our first date I found out that my close friend/neighbor was friends with Greg in high school (in a different city). During our four years of dating we juggled the kids active schedules and living 40 minutes apart, but we encountered many more coincidences that reinforce our belief that things happen in life for a reason.”
Q. How did you hear about us?
A. “Our first trip together was a weekend getaway to Hocking Hills in February…during a snow storm! So I did an online search for small weddings in Hocking Hills and time and time again the Hocking Hills Wedding Chapel rose to the top based on what was important to us. Our priority was to get married without the wedding planning stress and maintenance while treating our close family and friends to a beautiful, intimate wedding and a great party.”
Q. What was your favorite moment during your wedding?
A. “There were so many favorite moments… it was a multi-day celebration where we could hang out with our family and close friends in a beautiful area. But if we have to pick one thing, it was the ceremony because it was the most important moment to us. Honestly, Karen said our job was to enjoy our wedding and let the team take care of everything – and they did exactly that. It was better than anything we could dream up ourselves.” I want to thank you all for making our Wedding Day and entire stay pretty much perfect. Holly and Amanda made the preplanning so stress free and enjoyable. And I cannot thank Karen and Holly (and staff) enough for making our wedding day so special. It was exactly what we wanted…. a small intimate celebration with family and friends without all the fuss. Karen had told us at the beginning… just enjoy and we take care of the rest. I truly felt you did that for us.
I was also so impressed with everyone you recommended we work with… each person was so nice and helpful. The girls and I loved having Summer and Amanda do our hair and makeup, the food and cake were wonderful, I absolutely loved the flowers, Pastor Matt made the ceremony so personable and special, we enjoyed having Michelle do our photos, and we really appreciated the extra DJ time… our family likes to dance :). And a special shout out to the bartender… a few people said she was really fun and they enjoyed her dancing. We received so much positive feedback from our guests regarding the area, cabins, and wedding. They couldn’t believe that you all took care of everything without much input from us. We also really appreciate you being flexible and working with our guest with their cabins. You really do great work. You have a great team and words just can’t express how much we appreciate what you did for us! You even seem to have special weather powers. Haha!
