Hiking
Hocking Hills offers many hiking trails that feature scenic views, waterfalls, caves, and so much more. Luckily when you stay at Valley View Cabins, there several trails that you can access directly from our property.
Rock Stalls Nature Preserve – Located just one mile from our cabins, the Rock Stalls Nature Preserve offers several hiking trails the entire family will enjoy. The land is privately owned by Camp Akita but allows public access. Encounter forested areas, cliffs, waterfalls, flowing streams, and wildlife.
Boch Hollow State Nature Preserve – Found just three miles from Valley View Cabins, the Boch Hollow State Nature Preserve is another favorite amongst our guests. The biggest attraction to Boch Hollow is the primitive trail that leads to the beautiful Corkscrew Falls. The waterfall cascades down 15 feet from above into a narrow gorge where you can see emerald plunge pools and surrounding moss-covered rock walls. This is one you will want to bring your camera for! Access to the waterfall is by permit only. You can obtain yours here.
Rhododendron Cove State Nature Preserve – A little bit further away is the Rhododendron Cove State Nature Preserve. Discover colorful wildflowers, geologic features, bird watching, and likely the largest native population of great rhododendrons in the state of Ohio. A 1.2-mile trail leads to the top of the ridge with views of the Hocking Hills River Valley below. Peak blooming season is usually during late June and early July.

Go fishing
Spend the summer at Valley View Cabins and have direct access to our three stocked fishing ponds. Our ponds are well stocked with both bass and catfish. Enjoy your lunch or dinner under our covered dock for the perfect summer day! You do not need a license since we are on private property.

We offer 14 fully equipped cabins, ranging in sizes from two and four-bedroom cabins up to our largest six-bedroom cabin. Each one sits on its own property, for guaranteed peace and quiet. Each cabin features a hot tub, fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor fire pit, gas or charcoal grill, and a fireplace or wood-burning stove.
